Our alumni are known for their commitment to the Weldon Tradition of unselfish public service. They contribute to the culture of the law school by remaining engaged members of our community who generously support our scholarship, bursary and awards programs, and often return to the law school to teach, give lectures or mentor our students.

David Slipp, JD 2019
I chose Schulich Law because it is a highly respected law school that is community-minded and centrally located in beautiful Halifax. While studying, I had the opportunity to connect with the local bar association, volunteer, and work in ways that helped me build the soft skills required for a successful legal practice.
— David F. Slipp (’19)
I’ve had many experiences in my life which have been transformational, but one of the key transformative experiences was my time at the Schulich School of Law. It opened my eyes. It was a portal to discovering, exploring, and equipping myself with the instruments to have a purposeful life.
— Retired Judge Corrine Sparks (LLB ’79, LLM ’01)
My law school experience gave me exactly what I was looking for: the foundation for building a practice in public and constitutional law. My time at Dalhousie also left me with many personal and professional relationships, which are still so meaningful nearly 15 years later.
— David Taylor (’12)
